So there's no activity here...but putting that aside, over the past few weeks at my anime club we've been watching this great show. It's hilariously funny, imo, even though I came in almot halfway through the series. Shame that this is the only community that's about it, and it's practically DEAD.
Nonetheless, I'm posting to see if anyone's alive. :\ Current Mood: curious

Wow, a Tylor
themed LJ community, great!...except this place seems kinda dead *sigh*
Anyway, obligatory newbie-to-fandom tale...
A friend of mine heard about this series, and I'd read reviews that compared Vash from Trigun to Tylor. He managed to download the entire series (bad, I know, but I'm bidding on a full set of DVDs on eBay as I type) and I borrowed it from him after watching the first two episodes. A couple of days later, and some pretty late nights (or should that be 'early mornings'?) watching episodes back-to-back, and here I am *bows*
It seems to me that the series has a large number of fans, but they don't talk about it much - very few fanworks or discussion. I'm going to make a guess and say this is because the series hasn't been shown on a major TV channel in the US ( and in the UK? Ha! We'd be lucky...) like the Cartoon Network. Plus it's an older series, old-ish character designs and no 'bishies' for fan-girls to squee over *rolls eyes*
Anyone want to comment? C'mon, this place can't be completely
Oh, and on a side-note, I would like to present these to the world at large:
My first pitiful attempts at sprites *L* Current Mood: cheerful

Hello... I'm a newbie who likes Captain Tylor but hasn't finished the series yet. Yeah... and I agree, the Japanese intro song is MUCH better.

Hey dude, you know anywere were I could get my dirty hands on a subtitled Irrespo9nsible Captain Tylor TV Box Set Subbed? Cuz I think amazon.com only has the Dubbed, and after hearing the horrible horrible dubbed intro song ((you can d/l it at tylor.com under the multimedia section I think)) god that song was so badly sung, the english is worse when the lady that sings the jap. intro sings in english. I mean damn its so bad! Never EVER listen to it, and like well thats it. Wonder if anyone else will join? Oh well it desont really matter. Current Mood: bored

Sense it relates to the act of chasing young girls I think it's appropriate for me to post my latest journal entry in here.
The guys in my dorm posted this on my door because of my propensity to chase after 15 year old girls.
Ya, it applies to me pretty well, but I don't try to make excuses about it. There's just something wonderful about a young girl. It's like the movie American Beauty. Most people hated that aspect of it but I understand. It's about beauty, and being happy. It's about looking into the eyes of God.
It's about looking around us, finding what is good in the world, and then assimilating it into ourselves. Seeing what is good in the world, what makes us happy, and becoming good, to make others and ourselves happy.
It's about sucking the marrow out of life.
Maybe that's a little over philosophical for something like having sex with teenage girls. But I think even having sex with teenage girls can be part of a search for the truth.
Truth, Beauty, and Love.
"The greatest thing in all the world, is to love, and be loved in return."
I just watched that movie a couple days ago. Mulan Rugue (SP? Way off)
The one about the whore house in Paris. Good movie.
Artistic yet sinfull
I also saw the movie "Traffic" the same day. I've been exposed to a lot of that stuff and have a fairly liberal prospective on it, and that definitely gave my opinion a new spin. It's surprising how much of a difficult moral dilemma that can be.
But ya, I like rolling around on a bed with two 15 year old girls. Woot! Current Mood: thoughtful
